Hopleaf donates $30,000 to Peirce

Wow! The Peirce, Andersonville, Edgewater and Hopleaf community really came through on Sunday! We were expecting a good crowd and we got a GREAT crowd. From open to close, Hopleaf was "hopping" with every table occupied within 30 minutes of opening and a steady stream of customers all day long.

Our goal was $20,000. Not only did we meet our goal, we CRUSHED it! You helped us raise over $30,000 for Peirce on Sunday. This is truly amazing and humbling for everyone involved.

According to Michael Roper and Louise Molnar, owners of Hopleaf and our wonderful benefactors, they had the second busiest day on record. The staff at Hopleaf (especially the kitchen) did a great job of keeping up with the demands of the day.

There were many Peirce families, teachers, staff and administrators on hand for this community event. Thank you all for coming out to support us and for helping get the word out. We could not do it without you.

The funds raised will go toward supporting the arts, music, after school programs, athletics and technology for the school. Many of the things that get left behind in these budget constrained times.

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to Dave Tilson (david@friendsofpeirce.org).

Our students thank you!!
